The Courthouse Hotel – Serving with Heart and Community Spirit
With generous donations and hands-on support, The Courthouse Hotel team is turning everyday actions into lasting impact at Ozanam House.

A heartfelt thank you from all of us at Ozanam House
Each month, the wonderful team from The Courthouse Hotel joins us at Ozanam House to support our evening meal service – and their generosity doesn’t stop there. Their organisation donates regularly to our work, turning everyday actions into meaningful impact.
Volunteering has become an important part of the team’s culture, with over 90% of staff stepping forward to donate their time. Their ongoing support speaks volumes about their commitment to community and to each other. For many team members, volunteering has offered more than an opportunity to help – it’s been an eye-opening experience that builds empathy and connection with people outside their everyday circles.
This growing awareness has had a lasting personal impact. One team member shared how volunteering at Ozanam House gave them the confidence to engage more openly with others in the community, including people doing it tough. A simple “hello” or friendly chat with someone selling The Big Issue has now become a small but powerful gesture of connection and respect.
Volunteering has also brought colleagues closer together. By sending one staff member from front of house and one from back of house to each session, the team has found new opportunities to connect across roles and get to know one another better – strengthening the workplace from the inside out.
To everyone at The Courthouse Hotel: thank you for your generosity, warmth and continued commitment to our community. Your support means so much to the residents at Ozanam House – and to all of us who work alongside them.
